Model Railroad Days at the Oceano Depot MRD at the OD is our longest  running model train show. The  January 2016 show will mark the  ninth year of our annual event. It has always been free to the public, but  donations are gladly accepted to  help off set the cost of putting  together the shows. The SLOMRA and the Oceano  Depot Association work closely in  bringing this well attended event.  The SLOMRA raises funds by selling  used and/or donated model train  items at their swap table. The ODA  sells food and assorted depot promo  items to help fund improvements  and maintainence costs. The show had humble beginnings  with temporary setups of Lionel  trains and a few modules. Since the  show and the group have grown, we  are only able to show our latest  modules as we have more trains  then there is room for in the depot!

The photo on the left is  our first show at the  Oceano Depot back in  2008. We have come a  long way in our skills  and in our presentation  of our hobby.

Our youngest member is  running an old time steam  engine while using the latest  technology to run: a tablet. Janek (blue shirt) takes time off  from running HO trains to hang  out with the N Scale Crew.
